And yet more bad WiiU news, Nintendo is now claiming there where games ready to be shown at E3, but they decided to pull the because they believed those would fail to impress. So Nintendo decided to use PS3/360 footage over footage for games made for the WiiU. The fiasco that was the WiiU reveal has caused Nintendo's stock prices to drop 5.7%.

Lulzsec is the group that threatened to end Sony soon after the PSN came back online , they attacked a few Sony sites, and since then have been attacking several gaming firms including Bioware and Bethesda (Demanding Skyrim details). recent reports say they attacked the CIA, they've also been publishing most of the information they get.

It would seem these guys have short attion spans, sinnce the pretty much gave up on destroying Sony, and have yet to make a second attempt at Nintendo after there first attempt to hack them failed.

They will probably be arrested soon.

Its mixed on Duke right now, some really hate it and other think it good old fun, the question is the bar set to high for this game, should it be just looked at as the silly fps duke has always been, just fun shooting and bad one liners

from the looks of things after Skyward sword it will be time for us that still have a Wii to sell them since Xenoblade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, or The Final Promise are not coming over seas (unless you count France getting Xenoblade.)

Anyways Nintendo looks to be loosing all the aspects that made the Wii sell so well.

I mean with that controller it deffently won't be the cheapest console on the market.

The PSP could be used to control the PS3, in a similar way to to the WiiU, and at last year's TGS, we saw that the Playstation Vita could be used to play PS3 games on the go, much like the WiiU controller, with demostrations of Killzone 3 and Yakuza 4 being played on it.

From what we saw of the PSV, I wouldn't be surprised if it could do most of the things the WiiU controller can do.

Well we got some news on the PS4, there is no news, when asked about it in an Interview Jack Tretton said that with the PS3 just hitting it stride they see no reason to start on anew console.

anyways there are rumors going around that Square Enix has released fake 360 scans for FFXIII-II much like they did for FFXIII. for FFXIII Square Enix was caught photoshoping 360 buttons onto PS3 scans. The 360 version of FFXIII was a port made late into the development of FFXIII, but FFXIII-II was planed to be a multiplat from the begining, so I wouldn't read to much into it

Namco has stated that Microsoft paid for weastern exclusive rights for Tales of Vesperia. I'd say bad news, but Namco has already heavily hinted at Vesperia PS3 coming to the west. So Namco may have something planed.

And I assume you mean Diddy Kong Racing, which is still inexplicable to me. But you have to remember, Rare is now focusing on Kinect development. Whether or not their DS development team is still around is a mystery to us all, and while still possible I guess, I think a Banjo Kazooie game for kinect, while unlikely, is still more plausible than a 3DS game.

Sony has said that the PSV will be dedicated to hardcore gamers, So Sony is finally trying to compete in the handheld market. The PSP while having some good games, it was no where near the impressive DS lineup.

Nintendo is now claiming the WiiU will have something for both casual and hardcore gamers, from what we saw we can asume that means first party exclusive and multiplat for hardcore, and 97% of the rest of the library for casual gamer.

anyways there's a rumor that Microsoft is going to release a kinect based controler. the rumor is most likely false due to the fact that this could undercut there "Your the controler" campaign, and the blue print for it suggests it would use a similar LED tracking system as Move. (Kinect uses infared tracking, so somthing like what what the Wiimote uses would make more sense.)

The stupidity of the comment is overwhelming. you really can't compare a cover based TPS to a platformer or a liner FPS.

About the only franchises that Sony has that can compare to those (that I can think of) are Little Big Planet that can reach creativity levels Mario could only dream of, and Rachet and Clank, where in writing, characters, graphics, and gameplay all trump the two series on that list they could be compared to (Mario and Metroid)

That's not even a little true, it's just perceived as such because good marketing made it pretty much the first game of it's genre to get any serious attention and while that did cause some games like Heavenly Sword to copy it, it was by no means genre defining or revolutionary. As for my opinion of the games, the first one was actually pretty good once I was able to suspend my love for Mythology but it was still a classic example of a Greek Tragedy. But then they ruined it as the next two games which explored whole new levels of tastelessness.

As for the QTE hate, it's mostly warranted because a lot of games that shouldn't have them do but they're no all together a bad idea and can and have been used quite effectively in many games.

Nintendo has stated Wii U to Launch Between April 1st and December 2012. I'm geared to believe closer to December 2012.

Lulsec, the hacking group that went on a rampage haking several sites has announced they are breaking up probably after realizing that they not only where pissing of the authority but other hackers.

Finally a 24 hour charity marathon of Gears of War's horde mode has started those interested should watch and donate, all funds go Wounded Warriors, the thing is called Waves of Charity

Microsoft is saying give NUads a chance. NUads is a project to drop user friendly ads into the Kinect interface, needless to say gamers aren't happy about this.

Also, Skyward sword may not be the last good Wii game. currently there's an amazon preorder campaign for Monolith's Xenoblade, promising hack n slash Pandora's Tower, and The Last Story. Last I checked Xenoblade, was at number 4 of top preordered games at amazon. The effort is to show publishers that there is a high demand for theses games.

Sone news on Tales of Graces F, Namco has confirmed that they will only be releasing the PS3 version of the game in the US. ToG started out as a Wii game, but eventually got ported to the PS3 with extra content.

The WiiU release date is between April and December 2012, so at least 5 month after the launch of Skyrim. most of the people who want the game will already have. The few who don't have also wouldn't buy a WiiU for those when they could get a PS3 or 360 cheeper (especially used).

I never bashed Nintendo about not having games, I've only ever praised the DS for it's great library

The only negitive these I posted about Pandora's Tower, The Last Story, and Xenoblade was how Nintendo of America is handling of the titles.

I'm not trying to bash the WiiU (Here any ways). It would be next to impossible for the games to get good sales when on the WiiU, when the game was released for three other platforms at least 5 months prior to the console. So it wouldn't make sense for Bethesda to release it on the WiiU. The money Nintendo could use to convince Bethesda other wise would be better used fo a AAA exclusive. That would get people more Inerested in the WiiU then a 5 month old multiplat game would.

well for one what does it hurt if the developers wanna do it then they see a reason too do it , also you still do have people who don't own and ps3 or Xbox so if they decide to go with the Wii u they have the option to enjoy a great game .. hell you have games that didn't cross platform for a year or so on the ps3 and the 360 >> so i don't see why not..

The WiiU release date is between April and December 2012, so at least 5 month after the launch of Skyrim. most of the people who want the game will already have. The few who don't have also wouldn't buy a WiiU for those when they could get a PS3 or 360 cheeper (especially used).

Which allows for the WiiU version to have the DLC (which you KNOW is going to be released by that time) on the disc itself as an incentive.


Why release Crysis 1 on the consoles all?

Those timed exclusives came out on consoles with a strong instal base and where mostly previously available on only one console. This is aposed to porting a game that was already avaiable on 3 platforms on a new console.

@tanis_lionhear The prevous statemen pretty much answer most of that, as for DLC, first the five month is the smallest gap possible with Nintendo's said release window, it could be a 13 month gap in which the GOTY edittion with all the DLC on disk would already be out.

If you don't have a 360 or PS3, then why pay 300 at least for a new console with a small library including past mention game when you could pay 200, possibly less for a console with a strong library including said game?

Side stepping the issue.

It's an issue about user base. The WiiU would have to small of a install base for a game that was so widely available prior to the console release. It'd be practicality impossible for Bethesda to make money on the game. and It would be much better for Nintendo to invest money into AAA exclusives then multiplat games the where available on the other consoles long before the WiiU.


also wasn't the Eye toy (2003) a motion control device. I'm pretty sure there where arcade games in the 80's that had motion controls, so Nintendo didn't invent it.

unfair and stupid comment, Sega's dreamcast was a really good machine and way ahead of its time, notice how Microsoft ripped off just about everything they could from it when making the xbox, although they didn't make nearly as good a machine what with all the hardware failures. Here's another reason for my skepticism, the average takes two years to make unless the devs are building of an engine used in a previous game in the franchise. With most games being ready for show about a year after development begins. The WiiU could be out in a year and yet no game is ready to be shown. That definitively leads on to wonder about the launch line up.

If you have a legitimate reason to get excelled for the WiiU please share (And no, it being Nintendo is not a legitimate reason.)

Namco Bandai is sueing CD Projekt RED over the 360 version of The Witcher 2. Saying CD was in breach of contract by removeing DRM, and making a deal with THQ behind Namco's back.

Hope this won't delay the 360 version of the game.
