I just bought the the 3ds download version of Cave Story. It has revealed to me what beauty 3d graphics can achieve. Each sprite stands on its own. You can see tiles you've never noticed and each sprite is clearly visible and not mussed together. Some sprites look out of place, but over all the 3d truly makes the environment come alive with graphics comparable to the SNES.

Desktop just because you get more bang for your buck and can eventually upgrade it when you need to. Also if you have an hd tv just buy a pc with an hdmi port and you don't need a monitor just a new hdmi cable.

Turns out, it's the same producers as the Godzilla: Destroy all monsters games. I guess they know someone who backs some of our videos, so my buddy got tasked with making the promo.
I usually just do sound or lighting for this kind of thing, but only myself and another friend who happened to be getting off work in the same part of town showed up to help, so we ended up acting in it, too. It was a horrible concept, if it has one saving grace, it's my friend's performance. She can actually act, where I can't.
I don't necessarily recommend watching the video, which should be out tonight. But do check out the kickstarter. They have four days to make a little less than $7k and it looks like it made $4k over night. I really enjoyed Godzilla: DAM I'd love to see this happen.

**** Kaiju Combat.
For a few following reasons:
-Pandering to the money contributors: Instead of actually making a good kaiju design, they made an incentive: "You can have your own monsters in the game if you donated 500$!" and said fan monsters? A green ****ing kangaroo. A few rip-offs of other people's kaiju designs on their own dA (Moratitan is a rip off of a my friends kaiju "Reef" which was the exact same kaiju in essence but done two years before KC was even thought up), and something ripped directly from doom among others. There is no unifying theme with any of them, the designs are complete **** and are not unique in the least. None of them have any thematic presence, and this may just be coming from a kaiju designer who knows all of the quirks of designing effective giant monsters in an effective settings, but overall, I loath the designs featured here. You want creativity in Kaiju? go to Daikaiju-Gateway or dA-Kaiju-All-Stars on dA, those designs are impressive and plots are unique and vast. The monster designs here? Are not. Nemesis is the only one who really comes close and succeeding in any regard at having a presence.
-Pipeworks: They really dropped the ****ing ball with G: Unleashed and made a huge stain where Save the Earth and Destroy All Monsters Melee succeeded. And Simon Strange's incompetancy at the helm of Unleashed and from the Kickstarter itself seems really damning.
-The Fandom: Blind Faith in this game is all it's forums are about. They have no concept of good kaiju design, mechanics or any of that ****. They are just rich boys with no concept of how to make a truly unique monsters. Of course, all fandoms (except Touhou) are ****, so moving on...
-Kickstarter Abuse: Seriously. These guys are just abusing the crap out of it. It doesn't make the deadline? Just start it up again with a new one! They are just treating it as a tool to quickly make money for their game, bah.

In short, I have very, very little faith in Kaiju Combat. I'll stick with my broskies in dA who DO know how to make a proper kaiju yet don't have the money to buy their two cents into the game.

I decided to give mass effect ago since I bought the trilogy on the ps3.
Not very far in to it but the conversation options are nice and make it different to other games I've played recently.
the shooting system is pretty easy to get used to.
the skil points remind me of BL2 so hopfully I'll be able to make a good character.

Only got myself and my brother Dead or Alive 5 and Uncharted 3 GOTY edition

so pros and cons(no, not in those ways)

DOA 5:
+ They appear to have tidied up the fighting mechanics
+ stages vastly improved (dem cliffhangers and danger zones mang)
+ characters look far more realistic as opposed to their animu looks in the previous titles
+ WAY less pantyshots thank **** (outfits are still a ...nope but they've improved whilst keeping classic elements intact)

-The moves are all over the place
-Things look ridiculously polished almost as if they're trying to hide something
-Some of the Japanese voices are just terrible, but that has been the case for a while now
-Jann Lee's voice is different ;_;


Uncharted 3:

+DEM GRAFIX
+Characters look slightly more realistic, although weirdly...more asian
+Drake gets TOLD an assload in this game
+Story is interesting enough even though essentially it's the same ****, different cover

-The game is sometimes annoyingly hard even on normal difficulty
-Sometimes aforementioned GRAFIX hinder sight somewhat
-See pro #4: The story is THE SAME ****

Your going to want to pick up Rock Band 3 if you want an ongoing experience. Activision killed Guitar Hero so no new songs and no new games while RB3 still gets new songs every Tuesday and has Rock Band network witch has a lot of indie bands on it. If your just interested in multiplayer then they're may be people still playing.

So I have started playing the heck out of Hotline Miami. It's an extremely difficult, but enjoyable game. It's an indie title (which seem to be all the rage) that's about one thing, and one thing only: KILLING EVERYTHING THAT MOVES. But there is a slight catch to your murderous rampage of anything and everything in your path, everything dies in one hit, both you, and your enemy. This makes the game, pretty much a tactical combat puzzle, where every move you make is critical choice between life and death. You can't really take things slow and easy unless you want to end up dead.


Gamplay
The games one hit kills mechanic works well for creating tension and a steep challenge, but at the same time, it makes the gameplay and weapons rather shallow. There is no real reason to use certain weapons over others, because all weapons kill in one hit. I found myself just using the knife for the majority of missions, because it is the fastest weapon. Sure you get different kill animations depending on what weapon you are using, but those are purely cosmetic. Also, having to finish off enemies on the ground can sometimes be annoying, as the animations are slow and leave you extremely vulnerable, yet at the same time, there is no other way to kill a downed enemy. Also if the enemy is against a wall, the guy you play as simply drops his weapon to finish him off, as if he will never ever have any use for his knife ever again after this enemy is dead. Leaving you weaponless until you pick it back up again. This may seem trivial, but in the heat of combat with 30 something guys coming after you, you'll wish he held on to his bat, or crowbar or whatever it is.

The player dons masks at the start of each level, and each mask offers a unique power, except the chicken mask... for some reason. Some of these are more useful than others, and most in ways you wouldn't have thought. Not getting attacked by dogs is way better than being able to take 2 bullets, from a gun, because if you play right, you'll never be shot at anyway.

While not tying directly into the gameplay, it should still be noted that this game is extremely difficult. However it's a good kinda difficult, where every time you die, you feel like you deserved it for being a baka and not reacting quickly enough.

In this game... there isn't really much of a plot to speak of. You get messages on your telephone that tells you to kill people, then you go and kill them. It isn't till much later in the game that any sort of plot. However this anti plot actually a strong point. It adds much intrigue and some actual creepiness. Who are you? Why are you killing these people? Are you insane? Are you a hitman? Why do you put on masks? The game never really addresses any of these questions, and while normally I would complain about it, here it just adds so much more to the atmosphere. Much, much later in the game a plot of sorts does happen, however the ending of the game is rather a letdown. But the story does not impact the gameplay at all, so whatever your opinion of it probably won't effect the actual game and how fun it is.


Over All

Over all the is a lot of fun. It's frustrating in certain points, and the lack of plot may turn some players off, however it's fun gameply and difficulty make the game stand out as much better than other action titles, and for 10 bucks ya won't find much better.

I'm doing it in creative mode. I've done some cool projects in survival mode though. Only recently have I come home from college to my xbox 360 to find creative mode available.

Just picked up Uncharted 3 and Bioshock 2 (my PC won't run it well), pretty spiffy. Assume that not playing Uncharted 1 or 2 will make a difference?

But learning to play a shooter with a game pad after years and years of WASD+mouse is driving me crazy.

Just cancel out your muscle memory and you'll be fine. Of course, this is coming form a guy that's used both console and PC controls since the age of 7, so your adaptation may vary.

They make a few references to Uncharted 1 and 2 in the form of snarky we-so-wittie-nao-XD comments as far as gameplay wise it doesn't matter at all because they keep re-teaching the gameplay mechanics with each installment. You can definitely play this without having to play Uncharted and Uncharted 2.

My god those final two bossfights were tedious. Seriously **** Anubis and Nohman, buncha God-mode using hacks. Anyway this was highly enjoyable. Had me feeling as much joy as it did finishing the first Zone of the Enders. Too bad the voice acting was still **** tho.

oh yeah those were a pain. Taper was easy to do but my GOD Ardjet is easily destroyed.
This is how I did it.

-pick the bitch up
-fly all the way to the top
-drop the useless ho at one 'o dem platforms
-get back down and use the grab driver she gave you to grab those punks and throw them at each other
-once everyones ded go back up grab that ho and repeat until you reach the exit

tbh tho I didn't even bother with the last group and just made my way to the exit as soon as it came available

That seriously took me about 3 tries to get right. The trick is just avoiding all her ****. Then get close and time your strikes so that you swing RIGHT when she is about to swing at you to hit you, after about 3 or 4 strikes grab your chance(quite literally)

Imagine my surprise when I accidentally attacked her when I was locked onto her...
I tried that strategy about once or twice and then I was like fug diz zhit and yanked her and pulled her up to my treehouse

Indeed. The Media and society in general always looks at sub-cultures and other things not very big in society to use as Scapegoats. Always. Back in the fifties I think the same thing happened with Comic Books as some guy linked them with mental patients. This caused the now defunct Comics Code Authority which was like a stricter ESRB on freaking comic books which nearly killed the industry. Today, it is with Vidya Games, as they are the easiest target for those who know little about them to pin the blame on. When in reality, we should be blaming society as a whole.

Seems Nintendo announced some new WiiU games,

A Yoshi game from the same team that made the incredibly bad Kirby's Epic Yarn (With the same LittleBigPlanet rip off style)
agree it's a rip off and looks like the end result of crossbreading kirby's epic yarn,yoshi's story and little big planet but the game it self is a ncie change of pace even for the kirby franchise it was different.


A MMO that looks like a complete rehash (Nintendo rehashing the same old stuff, what a surprise/s) of Xenoblade called X expecting this to be a full on sequal to the wii game - but on rehash capcom are doing monster hunter tri HD for the wii U now that is a rehash.

Graphics = Amazing

Music = Amazing

Voice Acting = Mixed (I'm going DUB for my first run)

Animated Cut Scene = Amazing

Game Play = VERY good



My main cons are:
Grinding = It's been a LONG time since I played a 'traditional JRPG' on a home console so, while it can be tedious, it's an interesting change of pace.

Difficulty = I'm on 'normal' so, maybe that's why, but sometimes it seems like 'regular' enemies can be HARDER then the boss whose ass you just kicked.

Saving = Traditional save system kind of took me off guard.
You can only save at save points and the world map, which I haven't seen in so long I almost lost 5 hours of game play because of it.



Beyond that?
Great, traditional, JRPG with a bit of 'Pokemon 3D done right'.

Just finished the main story stuff in Ni No Kuni, the game was great. Though the events about you complete the Shadaar stuff seems kinda rushed. I also didn't like how forced the third form of the final boss was. Finally there seems to be a bug with the Manna bosses. After you deplete their HP, they will suddenly regain it, but just stand there doing nothing until you depleted their HP again.

For me, it's a little of both. The locking system took me a battle or two to get used to and the enemy fighters are fairly agile.

Plain old difficulty. The only issues I have had with the controls are the Strike-mode's controls, though the game is really difficult at first due to how the keyboard and mouse were calibrated rather horribly.

my parents have an apple TV, it has features that are not shared with consoles and it also doesn't have features consoles have. But over all it is a lot cheaper to watch movies and stream netflix and youtube among many other thing. In the uk, Persona 4 Arena was supposed to have come out around September last year but because of some problems with it online or something along those lines it was delayed for a LONG time and now won't be out until May.

Any that was good reveal, could have used more game play from the PS4 exclusives though.

The ONLY game I can think of on the move/kinetic that I enjoyed with motion controls was 'Child of Eden'.

personaly I think it was a very boring reveal it was to long,most of the games look like they could be run on the ps3,don't care for the PS move stuff not keen on the cloud gaming ideas,all the online gameplay ideas seem like stupid gimmiks,the cross play seems like it's being forced on you this time round,the driving sim that evolution showed may as well just be called GT 6,I'm dissapointed that watchdogs is being moved to ps4,SE demo is the same one they showed off last year.
There was to much focus on the share button on the pad.
To much killzone not enough infamous,the new tag line the creative console is just ballocks.
The fans in the conference were clapping more than a collony of trained seals.

The blizzard and bungie games were probably the best off the reveals and the fact diabalo 3 is going to be on ps3 as well as ps4 is nice might give it a try.

Don't be happy with Diablo3, it wasn't that great and it was talked about being release on other systems long ago. Destiny already had its press release earlier and is going to be released on multiple systems.

I'm really interested in seeing how Bungie will build off of their strengths to make Destiny. The concept art alone makes it look incredibly immersive and rather fantastical. Of course, the same can be said about a lot of concept art, but regardless.

I'm going to wait for Microsoft's reveal. They will probably have alot of the social crap too but they own Skype now so they might give you the option to talk and possibly game with your friends that have a pc or 360. Also Xbox O.S. 2 will probably be in line with current Windows O.S.'s and Xbox O.S. 1 possibly allowing backwards game compatibility and the ability to play against friends on 360 games.

All three of the new consoles are sxxt it's just that sony and nintendo have already given or shown the world there new peices of Cxxp and I doubt microsofts new console will be anything better than the ps4 in terms of tech.

I played the demo on ps3 and the combat controls seemed a little lose and the lock system well there's better versions out there.
But I did like the sword aiming that is real cool,seeing how fine a cut you get on the scenery.

No I misseed that but I sliced everything else on the beach,the slice machanic in this game is fun but the lock on system is a bit of a let down.
