Nintendo made a console, developers develop games for it, and there are maybe a total of 20 M-rated games for the Wii. those are really the only worthwile games that could even be consindered "hardcore", and please don't try to say that Zelda or Mario can be hardcore.

the lack of fanbase for any games that could be hardcore depletes that chance. Nintendo is not striving for any hardcore fanbase that is seen within games like CoD, Fallout, Gears, or Halo, and they are not getting any.

there is ONE exception: EPIC KIRBY! that stuff is 1337 MLG hardcore OPTIC PRO right there!

oh I agree Abyss, each of those games have a far more massive casual crowd than hardcore, but they also have a much larger hardcore crowd than other games

and I will gladly admit that and upwards of thousands of hours are spent on the Pokemon, Zelda, and Mario games in a day, but they dont really have a multiplayer to speak of (yeah, there is some head-to-head and co-op, but thats about it)

I know games like Fallout and Oblivion lack multiplayer, BUT, they DO have modding communities (limited to PC, but thats what I use anyway)

there are many factors that go into hardcore games. for instance, its rare to find Hello Kitty Online or Super Mario Kart montages compared to a no-scoping montage.

alot of fan-dedication to a game doesn't make it hardcore in itself is what Im trying to say here

1. Xbox Live is the choice online provider for most gamers (especialy with Playstation Plus moving in)
2. Halo isn't really, at least not as much as CoD, but none the less, CoD games are pretty much the most-played games on XBL and PSN. hell dude, I have 570 hours spent on MW2 alone. yeah, CoD blows hard, but BO is still #1 being played
3. yup, and the D&D crowd, and the card-game crowd. though I find the Pokemon crowd to be more on Hand-held devices
4. for good reason. Take zzirGrizz and The Sandy Ravage for example (youtube them if you dont know), both of them are insane CoD players, whom I would consider hardcore, and they dont touch MLG or GameBattles etc.etc.

really the "hardcore" gamer crowd that enjoys CoD are quite young and annoying, I understand why people try to ignore them. seems like MLG is just all hype ever sense they stopped caring about Halo 3

Oh and MLG has always been hype, they're never had any substance and have perpetuated negative gamer stereotypes, then again so does Xbox live. I'd also like to add that you said nothing to contradict point #5 and if anything have actually supported it

@abyssion1337 Not on the first play-through, but each new game plus amps up the difficulty each NG+ (up to NG+8) later NG+ run can get incredibly difficult. and to platinum the game it will take about 3 or 4 play through if you know what your doing.

The first New game plus starts off pretty bad, but I grew into rather quickly and since they don't nearly as drastically up the difficulty for each consecutive new game plus (they up but not as much as the first time) it's not that bad, I'd call it a fairly steep but short curve.

Nintendo does have say over the control scheme to an extent but ultimately it's up to the developer whether they want classic controller/gamepad support or not. Mine is Alice Twilight, also Jinzo this game pretty much just hotkeys your abilities to QWERDF, and B is a recall, in fairness you don't have to use hotkeys you can just click on the ability but that is significantly slower

i can see where jinzo is coming from though, LoL was my first game that you cant use a xbox controller on or requires just the mouse that I played and aside from qwer it took me quite some time to move my fingers around on the keyboard and was using the mouse for my summoner spells (probely cause Im retarded and Im sure everyone else does this naturally)

I'm a PC gamer, so controller are anathema, as long as your fingers are used to ASDF for typing it doesn't take much to adapt, especially if you're also accustomed to WASD for movement controls. Playing any RTS also helps with LoL

well Id say Im a pc gamer because 90% of the games I own are pc but I only type with my right hand so Im not used to using my left hand for stuff like that and any fps I play if it doesnt already have controller support I use a program called xpadder which lets me map keyboard and mouse keys/movments to my controller

Vayne is high up but she's still below both ashe and Corki on the AD carry scale. You're not looking at his 5 sec fear in the right way, yes it lets him drain you for a lot or catch you in a nasty crowstorm but more importantly it's 5 secs of you not being able to do **** whilst his teammates pummel you. Let's face it Fiddles has been nerfed over and over and over for good reason and he's still nasty.

his fear isnt that bad, it's only 3 secs long (at max lvl and that isnt what fiddles put up first (1 sec at lvl 1))actually and you have a chance of running the way you want, id rather that than stunned or knockback

Nid is actualy quite OP and can too easily stay in a lane solo for too long

I have yet to see an Ashe make or break a game unless my friend plays. Oriana just has burst and an annoying ulti, Fiddle is too nerfed for me to care any more

TF is just annoying, which is why he gets banned in ranked so much

if you wanna know an OP champ, its Gangplank. I always ban him ranked because hes too annoying.

Rumble seems kinda OP cuz of his survivability, thats all.

Amumu is also always banned. so much stun >.<, though not as many as Leona. at 3 stuns, Leona is VERY annoying and usualy banned.

Overall, I'd have to say I am in love with Catherine. The premise of the game is twisted in all the right ways and while it is hard, its not the kind of hard that makes you want to throw your controller, I enjoy trying to learn from my mistakes and see if I can find new ways to get to the top.

The music is fantastic, and seeing as how I am a fan of older music, hearing the remixes of classics make it all the more entertaining. They did a great job with this game and I can't wait to see if they tie it in with the Persona series.

A few years back the Persona team said they wanted to release Persona 5 to the biggest demographic possible, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it on PS3 and 360.

I admit, FF7's combat system was good, and the graphics were, for the time, magnificent.

Theres a few mods that makes your companions into loli's or shota's, and make certain clothing into lingerie for them, or even adds shops where you can buy different lingerie and fetish outfits.
Also with the console you can make them pose... not that ive done this or anything.

Taking Ibuprofen for headaches? Seeing as some side effects for regular use of Ibuprofen are headaches, vomiting, diarrhea, drowsiness, and nausea, I think I'd rather take Isometheptene seeing as the side effects for regular use are dizziness, drowsiness, and nausea. Also, consult your doctor to see if the medicine is right for you as many minor medicines have some side effects that are rather nasty.

Anyway, it's decent as just a shooter, but it's so much deeper than just a shooter, I was surprised at the amount of menus and tweaks, it also has a kind of RPG-skill system which is though not a major thing in the game. The gameplay is also pretty fair, it gives space for your own style (and you actually waste all the remaining bullets in the clip when you reload(!)) There are also psi-powers and swords, just saying.

I just realised most of you must have checked it out by now =/ oh well...

NIS America didn't make Disgaea, NIS did (there is no america after it, that's their american publishing branch, you'll note that NIS was originally published by Atlus as NIS didn't have the money size or power to do it when it first came out). Clearly you weren't paying attention to my actual statement.

The game is played on the Battlefield (game board) that has a grid layout (similar to chess).

Players use their scrolls to summon demons (possibly buildings, walls and siege weapons as well) using available resources. Resource acquisition methods have still not been revealed.

The summoned creatures attack in a straight line. If the attack is not blocked by enemy units or structures, the attack damages the opposing player.

The goal of the game is to reduce enemy players hit points to zero. Other possible ways to win include using spells to destroy opponents scrolls.

Doesn't sound like any Elder Scrolls game I've ever played.

Also, it is about the name "Scrolls." Nothing more.

Its just like Digimon and Pokemon, Digimon has a similiar name to pokemon and has monsters so therefore its a rip off! Like in this case "Scrolls" is a similiar name to "The Elder Scrolls" which also has high fantasy themes, so therefore Scrolls is a ripoff right gaiz?! Completely IGNORING the fact that they have almost nothing to to with each other, and the "Rip Off" in both cases is arguably better then some of the material that the former has, but who cares! Its a "rip-off" via name and broad theme therefore it sucks right?

Well its better than paying that much for the Halo Legendary edition just to get a ****ing Helmet you can't even wear.

And the prices aren't regulated yet, so its gonna go down by November...hopefully. I'm getting it for the statue AND for the ****ing 200 page artbook, that thing is a beast, and from the concept art I've been seeing, that's really ****ing good art. That and I'm a TES fanboy :B

Smart Move in your choice of peer association... I do not have the luxury of doing such, however. You have NO idea how many people i meet still think Digimon is a cheap-Pokemon rip-off over just the name. (Digimon and Pokemon are really expensive-Tamegotchi ripoffs! :D)

The only good thing to come from the Pokemon anime was the original dub theme. I'm sticking to my guns on that one. The Manga was boss, and game while addicting, is like you said, pretty standard.

Getting back on topic with games:
Here is my list of games I'm getting this holiday season:
1. Skyrim (Of Course!)
2. Aliens: Colonial Marines, I've been wanting this game since it was announced. Anyone who knows me knows I am a HUGE aliens fan. This game is the sequel the original Aliens needs by the look of things, as it explains the plot-holes opened by '3' and expands more on the universe. Hopefully it will not fail like the recent AvP game...
3. Batman: Arkham City. Arkham Asylum is one of the, if not the, BEST superhero game I have ever played. Arkham City is also Mark Hammil's last gig voicing his iconic Joker voice. I'd have been deathly crazy NOT to pick up this game.
